Farm Basket Adventure

Pre-School & Kindergarten ::: Food Chain: Producer or Consumer
1st Grade - 2nd Grade ::: Crop-Processing-Distribution-Consumption

Plant your corn and gather it to feed the cows and chickens. Take a journey to the barn with the cow that never kicks, the hens that never peck and the potatoes that never sprout. Children become part of their agricultural heritage as they fill their basket with foods grown on the farm. Milk a cow, gather an egg, pick a tomato, dig a potato - its a fun way to learn how we grow the food and fiber we need to live. The concept of food production, distribution and consumption comes to life as the young farmers sell their crops and food at the Farmers Market.
